Blame
I wrote such a beautiful book for you
'Bout rainbows and sunshine
And dreams that come true.
But the goat went and ate it

So I wrote you another one
Fast as I could.
Of course it could never be

As that beautiful book
That the silly goat ate.

Lots of land? nothing to do with all of it? Don't like indoor pets? These are just some of the reasons to adopt one of these fun, friendly animals there is many more. Why an agriculture pet? Well goats are fun, loving and they are low maintenance. Goats love to eat the pesky weeds that like to grow all over, and now with new sales of them going to slaughter houses for meat instead of them doing that you could save these kind creatures. Please adopt!
Young male goats will be castrated to sell for pets unless specified otherwise. if you wish to buy for breeding purposes our goats are not pure breds they are many kinds some are boar, but some are pygmy and boar. if you wish to buy for a pet and are thinking about breeding them once you should know that males start to really stink during breeding season also it hurts a lot more to castrate them when they are older than when they are younger, so please consider these before getting a goat.
We will have a contract for you to sign that will state you cant sell them to slaughter, and you have a six week gaurentee on all goats if you have any problems you can get your money back.

Russia Russia is a female border collie that was abandoned as a puppy and rescued by us. She helps round up the strayed goats that are escaped or just unsocial. But most of the time she just gets into it with Hannah!	Rocky Rocky is a male wolf mix and is not very active he mostly sleeps in the house all day but we love him anyways! rocky died two months ago we miss him dearly.	Annie Annie is a border collie that had puppies and was got from the pound she is calm but active she used to do backflips to catch a ball but since Russia came she hasn't (russia is very possesive).
pict. not avilable currently N/A N/A N/A * * * Leo leo is an indoor / outdoor cat he is very shy but if you know him well enough he can be very friendly. We call him and his brother, Tony, the scardy cats because the are both very friendly but shy.	Charles Charles was named Charles instead of Charlie in respect of one of my favorite cats Charlie! He was the smallest of the three new barn cats and did not play a lot now he is healthier and stronger. He loves people!	Smokey Smokey is the oldest and is the biggest but Charles is catching up even though hes younger ! These kittens I am sure will grow into healthy, strong, loved barn cats! died of feline lukemia.
Tony Tony is Leo's brother they are both sweet cats that are very shy. They both are declawed in the front. they are both good sized cats and Tony has the smallest meow it seem to be coming from a kitten!	George George is another cat that was found wandering around and is very sweet he doesnt really like to be cuddled or held, but he will settle for a nice chin rub. One of his nick names is 'Needle Nose' because his nose is longer than most cats.	Peggy Sue Peggy sue is a wonderful cat she is beautiful and energetic she is a skilled hunter. Peggy Sue was got from a shelter to keep George company. her tail is crooked at the end from some kind of break possibly from getting it caught in the mower.

Mazy Female mother goat is NOT for sale but will have kids that will be for sale. her kids will be part pygmy and not get very big.	Hannah Female mother goat is NOT for sale but will have kids that will be for sale.	Gretta Female mother goat is NOT for sale but will have kids that will be for sale.
Lindy mother who is for sale nice and very friendly when you have food stand offish when approached but still friendly.	Lumpy sweet mother who is for sale a little stand offish but good natured.	Half and half sweet mother goat whom we are not sure we can sell. part milking goat.
Dobie friendly mother for sell shes a wonderful goat for a pet not too friendly and not too stand offish.	Phobie named because she looks like dobie for sale but not very friendly.	Brownie angora mother not for sale but will have kids in future.

"All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.	You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... " Author unknown... I hope this poem helps all the grievers that need it. It sure helped me.
Tye Tye was one of our newest barn cats he was a very curios cat he was funny and sweet he loved to give kisses he was got at a place where the lady rescues strays.Sadly this is just a memorial for him he died. He caught ammonia and his little body could not handle it. 8/07	For a few months Charlie an FFA project goat had a infection penicillin was the treatment the first day went great but the second day Charlie has an allergic reaction a seizure and passes out his hearts still going but hes not breathing the girls mom not knowing what to do she starts mouth to mouth he starts breathing again slowly someone gives him two shots to counter the penicillin in a few moments hes back up the mother replies, "i just saved his life and yet he will have to go to slaughter in a few months."

Goat Tales

Hannah Is there a such thing as little too friendly? Well if there is hannah is that! hannah is a bottle baby she does not know shes a goat though she belives shes a person and a child at that. She is what we call a 'lap goat' although she is NOT for sale she is adorable and a sweet heart my grandmother raised her from a little one and my cousin calls her Grandma's little sweetness! Now we do not sell lap goats at least not without your knowledge if they are a lap goat we promise to let you know before you buy! Now Hannah is only a kid and she knows that because she will butt everything smaller than her or same size including cats, dogs, and other goats if they are getting more attention or getting close to her attention.

Goat go plop One of our nursing goats decided to jump on a stump the stump was about 2.5-3 feet high, and she decides shes going to get on the stump so she jumps up there and one slip of the hoof down she went. Unlike cats, goats dont land on their feet she landed on soft dirt though which also made it difficult for her to get back up as she was scrambling to her feet the dirt was sliping out beneath her!

Ups & Downs

Lets start at you saving a goat from slaughter a definite up about adopting a goat. Take a look at this goat she is very lucky for now, she works at the sale barn where most slaughter animals are sold. She helps comfort sheep/goats into the sale ring. Looking at her weight says she could make a good 80 dollars to slaughter. She does not have the greatest life for as you can see she is tied up to the fence.

A down would be their curiosity in taste, no it is not true that goats will eat anything however they will eat almost anything. For instance every year on the fourth of July all the children and grandchildren all gather at my grandma's house and we put together a game fair and in 2007 my cousin decided to have a balloon dart game and some of the popped balloons landed on the ground luckily my mother saw one of the goats eating one and I was barley able to get it out of her throat.

Another plus side is our goats are used to other animals including llamas, horses (they were not put in with them like the cows donkeys and miniatures ), miniature horses, sheep, cats, and dogs.

Depending on your point of view there is the 'scape goats' or the ones who tend to 'test' your fence so if you want a nice sturdy fence call the experts!

A couple more great things about goats are they are very personable, hardy, and just so funny to watch! Our goats will be tamed down to where you and others can walk up to them and pet them. Also they will be used to children and are great entertainment for them!
